Highland Perthshire Chocolatier’s Winning Streak Continues

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Highland Chocolatier on winning a series of awards at the 2023 World Finals in Florence, Italy; notes that the Highland Perthshire company’s Velvet Truffles won Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, in addition to receiving three further special awards due to its outstanding recipes, textures and craftsmanship; further notes that its Velvet Truffles were the only truffles in the UK to be judged by the Grand Jury and then proceed to the World Finals, where they retained the title of Best White Truffle in the World; acknowledges that owner Iain Burnett’s family-run chocolatier has now won over 60 national and international accolades, including World Gold three times over, with a client base that include Claridge’s, Gordon Ramsay, Albert Roux, Gleneagles Hotel, Harvey Nichols and Michelin star chefs, and wishes Highland Chocolatier, which is based in the village of Grandtully, all the best for the future.
