Congratulating Multi Award-winning Family Business, We Hae Meat

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Carlyn and Alex Paton and their family-run business, We Hae Meat, on winning two prestigious titles at The Herald Family Business Awards 2023, held in association with Business Gateway; applauds the Paton family on winning the Green Family Business of the Year Award and the Scottish Family Business of the Year (small-medium) Award on the night; understands that the awards recognise legacy and the desire to see family business play a part in communities; further understands that the Girvan-based business launched in 2007 and was named as one of Scotland’s top 10 fastest growing food brands by Kantar earlier in 2023; commends Alex and his family for their hard work and commitment to their business, championing diversification and sustainability, and wishes them all continued success in future endeavours.
