Eastwood Groups Receive Keep Scotland Beautiful Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates two groups in Eastwood on receiving awards from Keep Scotland Beautiful, for their commitment to improving local communities; recognises that the Black Door Shop, which is managed by the 86th Glasgow Boys' Brigade in Giffnock, was awarded both the Level 5 Outstanding Certificate and a Certificate of Recognition at the Keep Scotland Beautiful It's Your Neighbourhood awards ceremony in December 2023; understands that the Black Door Shop was honoured at the event for its work with the Orchardhill Thursday Gardeners group; recognises that Netherlee and Stamperland Community Council also received commendation at the event, and the group was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for participation in the It's Your Neighbourhood scheme; notes that the It's Your Neighbourhood initiative is Keep Scotland Beautiful's community environmental improvement programme, and commends both the Black Door Shop and Netherlee and Stamperland Community Council for receiving awards at the 2023 celebration event.
