Clackmannanshire Primary Pupils Raise more than £2,100 for Cancer Research UK

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates two Clackmannanshire youngsters, who are set to take on a muddy obstacle course for Cancer Research UK following, it understands, a devastating diagnosis in the family; understands that Emily Brisbane and her friend, Annie Westwood, both eight years of age, and both from Tullibody, will be at the Fife Pretty Muddy 5km event on 12 May 2024; is encouraged that the pair has already raised more than £2,100 for Cancer Research UK as a team; understands that these two pupils of St Serf's Primary School in Tullibody decided to take the challenge on after Emily's dad, Andrew Brisbane, was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer; further understands that he is undergoing chemotherapy, supported by the doctors and nurses at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow; sends its very heartfelt wishes to Andrew, and commends Emily and Annie on their highly magnanimous endeavours.
