Greenock-based PG Paper Wins UK Government Export Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates PG Paper on its inclusion among the 2024 winners of the UK Department for Business and Trade’s Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards; understands that PG Paper was announced winner of the Retail and Consumer Goods category; further understands that PG Paper is a significant global exporter of paper and board products, and that it operates in more than 60 countries with several international offices; considers that export and global markets are a significant source of PG Paper’s success, and understands that 95% of its sales are made overseas; believes that PG Paper plays an important role in representing global mills and enhancing access to new markets, enabling a growth in export and trade; considers PG Paper to be an excellent example of the dynamic business and export community in Inverclyde and the West Scotland region; believes that Greenock’s location and its rich heritage as a global port town makes it an exemplary headquarters for any organisation with a focus on international trade; acknowledges what it sees as the diligent efforts of PG Paper, its leadership, and its staff in creating a global business, and wishes the entire team continued success into the future.
