Billy Lennox and his Dog, Sunni, Complete the West Highland Way for Ochils Mountain Rescue Team

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Billy Lennox and his dog, Sunni, on completion of the West Highland Way to raise funds for the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team in the Mid Scotland and Fife region; understands that they set off on the 96-mile route from Milngavie to Fort William on 5 May 2024 with a target of £500 and completion over six days; believes that, according to their current JustGiving page, both targets were smashed with over £1,300 currently raised and Fort William was reached on 10 May 2024; understands that as a charity run by volunteers, the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) relies heavily on donations in order to be able to respond to emergencies at any time, day or night, and commends Billy, Sunni, the OMRT, generous donors and everyone involved in this fantastic initiative.
