Wallace High School, Senior Girls Football Team Wins Scottish Schools’ Football Association Shield at Hampden
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates along with Wallace High School, in Stirling, after its senior girls team’s historic Scottish Cup victory at Hampden; understands that the school’s under-18s defeated St Ninian’s High from Giffnock in the end-of-season game at the national stadium; notes that Wallace High won with a 1-0 victory and received the Scottish Schools’ Football Association Shield; understands that this season, the team won its local league and league cup competitions and is part of Wallace High’s School of Sport, which was launched in November 2012 and now supports its pupils’ potential in football, rugby, swimming, dance and basketball; expresses its pride and recognition of all the hard work and determination of players, coaches and school community; commends the support of the school’s parents, carers and wider local community, and extends its very best wishes for continued success to everyone in the team and the school for the future.
