The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Irene McKie of Strathcarron Hospice who is retiring in the summer after almost 18 years as chief executive; understands that Irene is a graduate of the University of Glasgow; notes that she spent over 25 years in NHS senior health service management roles before joining the hospice in 2006; further notes that under her leadership the hospice has significantly developed, while patient referrals have increased by some 74%, and wishes Irene a long and happy retirement.
