Public Access Defibrillator Installed at Tillicoultry Golf Club
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that a public access defibrillator (PAD) has now been installed at Tillicoultry Golf Club; understands that this was an aim by members at the golf club for some time, which has now been achieved, as for a number of years the club had a defibrillator within the clubhouse, which was only to be available to members; believes that, as a result, members campaigned for one that everyone could access, which has now been made possible thanks to a substantial grant from the EDF Renewables Burnfoot Wind Farms Community Fund, and was administered by Foundations Scotland; acknowledges that the golf club’s defibrillator is registered on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network, and provides the ambulance service with vital information about defibrillators across the UK, allowing them to be accessed straight away when needed with just one brief telephone call to obtain its security code; further acknowledges the British Heart Foundation for its assistance, and William Duncan Electricians of Tillicoultry, which supplied and fitted the equipment, and commends Tillicoultry Golf Club for what it sees as this invaluable contribution to public safety.
