Clackmannanshire Dance Group Travels to Perform in New York

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that a group of performers from Clackmannanshire travelled to New York City, following a huge effort; believes that 24 pupils from Forefront Stage School arrived in the city on 25 July 2024, in what will be a chance to chase the Broadway limelight in the prominent Theatre District; understands that the group was to be performing at the New Amsterdam Theatre the following day, and that it took part in workshops with celebrity dancers over the following weekend; commends the group's fundraising efforts, with £40,000 reportedly being raised in the past year to support the trip, with thanks going to the many people and businesses who have generously donated during countless fundraising events; commends everyone involved in this excellent opportunity, and wishes the group all the very best for the future following its return to the Wee County on 30 July 2024.
