The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the six green spaces across South Ayrshire that have received a 2024 International Green Flag Award; understands that six green spaces were recognised by the environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful, for their "clean, safe, and well-maintained parks and green spaces"; notes that the South Ayrshire winners were Belleisle Park and Newton Park in Ayr, the Fullarton Estate in Troon, Knockcushan Gardens and Orchard Gardens in Girvan, and Ayr Cemetery, and understands that the award is facilitated by the environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful, which supports parks and green spaces in their ability to "enable exercise, improve mental well-being, and provide safe spaces for play".
