Rotary Club of Oban celebrates 75th anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Rotary Club of Oban on reaching its 75th anniversary; understands that the club held its inaugural meeting on 7 June 1949 and that it continues to flourish today, with 35 members; understands that Rotary International is a global organisation with over 1.4 million members who are actively engaged in their communities, supporting other organisations and charities in their areas; acknowledges that the Oban club hold several fundraising events each year, including their famous Duck Race, where funds raised will support community charities; applauds the Rotary Club of Oban on reaching this impressive milestone, and congratulates its new president, Peter Tosh, for leading the Club into its anniversary year.
