Congratulating the BBC on its Olympic Games Coverage

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the BBC on its coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games; recognises the importance of the UK's national broadcaster covering this great international celebration of competitive sport and allowing viewers across the country to enjoy the spectacle, and to follow the progress of Team GB; commends the corporation on what it sees as the quality and comprehensiveness of its coverage, which will, it believes, act as inspiration for the next generation of aspiring Olympians, and looks forward to the next cycle of the Olympic Games, Milano Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028, being covered by the BBC in similar fashion, as well as the 2024 Paralympic Games, which commence on 28 August 2024.
