Jim McLelland Charity Venture Raises Funds for Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary
The motion
That the Parliament applauds Jim McLelland from Crossmichael for running and walking for 12 hours to raise money for Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary; understands that the event took place in Lochside Park in Castle Douglas for 12 hours to replicate an NHS shift; commends Jim for raising £2,850 for the cause on the day of the run; congratulates Jim for raising £19,000 so far for his fundraising efforts; notes that this was achieved via his One Big Thank You campaign; acknowledges that he intends to continue his fundraising efforts by aiming to raise £100,000, and that donations are still being taken, and wishes him well in future charity events.
