Merchants House Cafe in Kirkcaldy Awarded Best Cafe in South East Scotland at the Scottish Food Awards 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Merchants House Cafe, in Kirkcaldy, on being awarded Best Cafe in South East Scotland at the Scottish Food Awards 2024; understands that Merchants House Cafe is a family-run business housed in the historic Merchant’s House in central Kirkcaldy; notes that the café boasts a wide selection of homemade cakes daily, alongside its breakfast and lunch menu; honours the legacy of Ricky Barclay, who it understands opened the café alongside his wife Marzena in 2020, and who sadly passed away in October 2023, and wishes the business all continued success.
