Silverburn’s Flamingo Beach Raises £46,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Silverburn on raising £46,000 for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, surpassing the 2023 amount of £41,000; understands that the total amount was raised through admissions to Flamingo Beach and additional donations from Silverburn’s generous visitors; notes that Flamingo Beach was launched in 2023 and proved a hit with families, welcoming more than 20,000 visitors; understands that, this year, Flamingo Beach exceeded the 2023 results and welcomed 21,197 visitors during its eight-week-long run, including 12,207 children, and understands that all funds raised will go directly towards providing life-changing equipment and family support services at The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest children’s hospital.
