Rachel Dougherty, from Banchory, Wins Scotland's Home of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Rachel Dougherty on winning Scotland’s Home of the Year, the BBC One Scotland show, with her traditional former farmhouse in Banchory; notes that three judges, including interior designers Anna Campbell Jones and Banjo Beale, and architect Danny Campbell, were won over on the architectural merit, distinctive design and personal style of Rachel’s bold and beautiful cottage, Quiney Cottage; further notes that Rachel went on to represent the north east and the northern isles in the Scotland's Home of the Year grand final, held at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow, and wishes her every success in the future.
