Rangers Charity Foundation Annual Review 2023-24

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Rangers Charity Foundation on its work in the last year as laid out in its 2023-24 Annual Review; understands that 21 schools from five different local authority areas now engage in its SQA Programme of wider achievement and that, this year, it reached the milestone of handing out its 1,000th SQA Award in its capacity as an SQA Approved Centre; commends the work of the Foundation in the field of health and wellbeing, with particular reference to its work in encouraging better mental health support; recognises the work pursued through its Diversity Wins programme, launched in 2018, which, it understands was the first of its type in the UK and is now delivered in partnership with Glasgow City Council to P6s and P7s and covers important topics such as discrimination, prejudice, stereotyping and employability; understands that the Foundation works with a range of charities both domestically and internationally and has donated over £6.6 million in cash and in-kind support to date; notes that in addition to its broader work, the Foundation plays an active part in the Govan Thriving Place Initiative, which supports work and initiatives around the club’s stadium in Glasgow, and wishes the Foundation and all involved every success in the future.
