Welcoming the New Consul General of India in Edinburgh
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the new Consul General of India, Mr Siddharth Malik, to his new role; looks forward to working alongside the Consul General to strengthen Indo-Scottish relations; believes that this is a good opportunity to increase the cultural, educational and economic exchange between the two countries; understands that the Consul General joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2010 and has served in a wealth of assignments abroad, including posts at the Embassy of India in Beijing and at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York in various capacities, speaking Hindi, English and Mandarin, and wishes him all the best in his new role.
