Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all those taking part in the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival, which is an annual event celebrating the city’s architecture, culture and heritage; notes that 100s of historic buildings, theatres, museum stores, factories, studios, breweries and more, across the city, will be open to the public, for free; understands that the mission is to increase civic pride among Glaswegians and to broaden awareness of the city’s rich built and cultural heritage at local, national and international levels; further understands that Glasgow Doors Open Days is the largest of a family of Doors Open Days events happening across Scotland throughout September, coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and supported by Historic Environment Scotland, and acknowledges that the Doors Open event runs from 16 to 22 September 2024.
