The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Claire Bruce, chair of the board of directors at VisitAberdeenshire, as she prepares to step down, following her six-year tenure; understands that Claire has been a pivotal figure in the organisation for the last eight years, following the merger of Visit Royal Deeside, Banffshire Coast Tourism Partnership and Visit Aberdeen in 2016; recognises how Claire led the board as VisitAberdeenshire navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the subsequent growth of the wider tourism sector to a record-breaking value in 2023; notes that Claire will officially leave her role at VisitAberdeenshire’s annual general meeting on 11 November 2024, and wishes her every success in the future.
