The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that artists from one of Alloa’s biggest charities have raised almost £1,000 during their annual exhibition; understands that the Art Opportunities service within Scottish Autism held a showcase and sale from its premises in the town centre; further understands that the charity picked the "under the sea" theme for 2024, which saw a number of bespoke items and pieces of artwork created by those who attend the service; believes that the exhibition night raised £969 towards the charity’s income; understands that the individuals who attend the Art Opportunities service, have said that they very much benefit from the opportunity to express themselves through the creation of their artworks and that it means a lot to them when people show such appreciation through attending the exhibition and purchasing items, and commends everyone involved with what it sees as this truly excellent initiative.
