Over £10,000 Raised for Maggie's Forth Valley

The motion

That the Parliament is delighted that the charity, Maggie’s Forth Valley, which provides tailored support for people with cancer, has received just over £10,000 following a highly successful fundraising initiative by a partner organisation, the Paint Shed, which, it understands, is the UK’s most recommended independent paint retailer; notes that its Go Outrageously Orange collection saw staff and customers raise £5,195 for the charity and that this was match-funded by the company bringing the final count to £10,390; commends everyone involved with this, and the Paint Shed, for their extreme generosity, and is delighted that the fundraising effort also created a great deal of awareness and understanding of Maggie’s and the charity’s excellent work for the benefit of its service users and their relatives and friends.
