Dunoon Resident Raises £1,200 for Local Charities

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jimmy Love from Dunoon on his recent charity swim challenge; understands that Jimmy swam half a mile along the West Bay in Dunoon while pulling a boat containing local musician, Kenny McLay, who provided additional entertainment to spectators; understands that with this incredible challenge, Jimmy raised £1,200, which was split between the Pink Ladies of Argyll, a local breast cancer charity, and eXp Youth Work, a Christian children’s work organisation; acknowledges the huge effort that was required to complete a challenge on this scale, and wishes Jimmy all the best for the future.
