Clackmannanshire Drone Survey Business Wins Forth Valley HEAT 2024

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that a Clackmannanshire start-up business has succeeded in winning the Forth Valley HEAT 2024 competition, securing funding to carry forward its aspirations into reality; understands that HEAT, which stands for Highlighting Entrepreneurship All Together, is a prestigious competition to find the best new business ideas and start-ups in the Forth Valley region; further understands that the competition is run by Ceteris and is supported by Business Gateway members across Clackmannanshire, Stirling and Falkirk; believes that the competition offers a Dragon’s Den-style event for businesses that have been trading for less than two years, which affords them the opportunity to showcase their ideas, with almost £10,000 of funding available for the successful applicant; congratulates Skyview Surveys of Alloa on securing first place in the competition, with its idea of using drone videography to survey and capture commercial and industrial assets, and acknowledges that the company, which was incorporated in January 2024, utilises drone videography services to help businesses improve safety and reduce risks, whilst also having the ability to capture remarkable aerial footage for a wide range of commercial and industrial needs.
