Congratulating Mid Scotland and Fife Community Organisations Shortlisted in 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mid Scotland and Fife region community organisations on being shortlisted in the 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards in the Most Enterprising Community category; understands that Letham Climate Challenge (Perth, Perth & Kinross) and Tree in the Park (Dunfermline, Fife) have both been shortlisted; believes that the Scotland Loves Local Awards celebrate all that is great about Scotland’s towns and neighbourhoods and recognise remarkable dedication, innovation and commitment towards shaping a sustainable, successful future with localism at its heart; recognises that these awards highlight the people, places and projects belonging to both Letham Climate Challenge and Tree in the Park that, it believes, are leading the way in making a difference, delivering benefits and making local communities cleaner, greener, stronger and fairer, and also making town centres great places to live , work in and visit; notes that the winners of these awards will be announced in the near future, and extends its very best wishes to both organisations for good luck in the competition and for the future.
