Remembering Jim McColl, Beechgrove Garden Presenter

The motion

That the Parliament notes with deep sadness the passing of Jim McColl at the age of 88; recognises that Jim was a beloved presenter of The Beechgrove Garden, the hit BBC show filmed in Aberdeen, for over four decades; acknowledges his outstanding contribution to Scottish broadcasting and horticulture, sharing his deep passion for gardening and expert knowledge with viewers across the country; commends his dedication to making gardening accessible and enjoyable for generations of gardeners in Scotland; recognises that he was a true Scottish national treasure who inspired countless people to discover the joys of gardening; expresses its sincere condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time, and celebrates the lasting legacy that Jim leaves to Scottish broadcasting and gardening.
