Celebrating Diwali 2024

The motion

That the Parliament wishes a happy Diwali to all those celebrating both here in the UK and around the world; notes that Diwali will be celebrated on 31 October 2024; acknowledges that the festival is celebrated by several religions, including Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, and further acknowledges that the communities that celebrate this festival have provided Scotland with what it sees as a significant enrichment of its culture, social cohesion and economic prosperity.
