Kayleigh Cousins Honours Late Father in Daring Abseil

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kayleigh Cousins, from Dunfermline, on completing an abseil off the Forth Bridge to raise money for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland in honour of her late father; notes that Kayleigh was one of more than 300 fundraisers who took part in the event, which was held on 13 October 2024 to raise money for 21 charities; understands that the event, which is run by Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, has been running since 2003 and that the October event has so far raised more than £55,000 for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland and partner charities; recognises the significant achievement by Kayleigh, a 20-year-old accounts assistant, who took part in the abseil from the UNESCO World Heritage site in memory of her late father Harry, who passed away three years ago, and is grateful to everyone who took part to raise essential funds for worthy causes.
