Welcoming BP's Success and Continued Investment in the UK

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes BP's reported announcement that its B22 well on the Clair Ridge platform is "exceeding expectations"; notes that the platform currently produces 12,500 barrels of oil per day; welcomes heartily the investment that BP continues to make in Scotland and the UK continental shelf, and encourages BP to continue what it sees as its common-sense approach to drilling and explorations operations, which, it believes, contribute greatly to the UK's energy security.
