Mikeysline Recognised at Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mikeysline, an Inverness-based mental health charity, on receiving the silver accolade in the Impact in the Community category at the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards in Edinburgh; recognises what it sees as the invaluable work of Mikeysline in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of individuals throughout the Highlands, Islands, and Moray; acknowledges the success of the charity’s Bee the Change campaign, which, it understands, challenges and changes the stigma surrounding mental health through community engagement and creative initiatives, including cooking with kindness classes in local schools, inter-generational art lessons, and the Bee the Change choir, which performed at the charity’s annual Burns Supper, and applauds the dedication of the staff, volunteers, and supporters of Mikeysline, whose efforts contribute to making a difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges.
