Scottish and Welsh Rugby Supporters Fundraising for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scottish and Welsh rugby supporters from Kelty, Fife, and Oakdale, Blackwood, on raising over £2,000 for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation at an event held at Kelty Hearts Football Club; understands that the two villages have been coming together in friendship for over 40 years, holding a biannual get-together on the weekends of the Scotland-Wales international rugby matches, raising funds for charities in Scotland and Wales; notes that 2025's event was supported by a donation of signed boxing gloves from Joe Calzaghe and Lauren Price, which were auctioned, and generous raffle prizes, including a Doddie Weir scarf, hip flask and Kelty Hearts scarf and tie, along with many other donations; wishes everyone involved a successful biannual event in Oakdale in 2026, and looks forward to their return to Kelty in 2027.
