40 Years Service to Fife Show

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates David and Dianne Barnett on receiving a Long Service Award in recognition of over 40 years of dedicated contribution to the Fife Show; believes that, as the proud owners of David Barnett Catering, they have been a central and much-loved part of the show’s fabric since 1984, providing not only catering services but also warmth, humour, and a deep sense of community; acknowledges the presentation of Honorary Life Membership of the Fife Agricultural Association to David Barnett on 24 May 2025, as a fitting tribute to the couple’s longstanding support and commitment; celebrates the invaluable role they have played in creating cherished memories for generations of showgoers, and wishes David, Dianne, and their family every success as the next generation steps forward to carry on what it sees as their proud legacy at the heart of rural life in Fife.
