Mearns Cricket Club Continues to Grow

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the continued growth and success of Mearns Cricket Club; notes that the cricket club was established in 2021 and that it comprises four senior teams and three junior teams; understands that all of the teams will compete in the Western District Cricket Union during the 2025 season and that, for the first time since the club was formed in 2021, a new female team will participate in competitive fixtures this year; acknowledges that the group's achievements include winning a 40s Master League tournament and reaching the semi-finals of the Western Cup and Greenwood Trophy; understands that the club also provides opportunities to train aspiring cricket coaches and that it offers Level 1 coaching programmes through the International Cricket Council; congratulates Mearns Cricket Club on what has been achieved since 2021, and wishes its teams every success in the new season.
