International Cheer Union World Championship
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish team at the International Cheer Union World Championship in Orlando in April 2025; celebrates its first place victory in the Adaptive Abilities Unified Median category; understands that this is the first time that a team from Scotland has claimed a podium position in the competition; further understands that the team included Abbie Nicolson, Emily Nicolson, Hannah Neville and Evan Neville from Cupar, in the North East Fife constituency, where they grew up as neighbours; congratulates them on their achievement; recognises the many years of hard work and training that led them to victory; understands that that Hannah has scoliosis, which can mean that she experiences more pain than average, but that cheerleading has helped her stay strong and active; welcomes the pride of the Cupar community in the team's success, and wishes them well in future competitions.
