Stuart Colquhoun, Chieftain at the Benarty Pipe Band and Highland Dancing Competition

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Stewart Colquhoun on becoming chieftain of the annual Benarty Pipe Band and Highland Dancing Competition; believes that this was well-deserved recognition for a true community champion; notes that, with 35 bands participating, the 2025 event was the largest ever Benarty Pipe Band competition; congratulates all the prize winners, and thanks the Benarty events group, volunteers and competitors for their contribution to a great day out for the local community and for visitors from far and wide.
