Congratulations to Grant Cooper, University of Dundee Graduate, Scotland's Nursing Student of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Grant Cooper, a graduate of the University of Dundee, who was named Scotland’s Nursing Student of the Year; notes that the award from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) was given to Grant due to the resilience and commitment that he exhibited during his studies, facing personal tragedy but continuing to display exceptional courage; believes that, having been inspired by the nurses that looked after his mother, Grant completed the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) Access to Nursing course at Dundee and Angus College, allowing him to change careers, and wishes Grant continued success as he begins his career as a community staff nurse in Forfar.
