The motion

That the Parliament congratulates East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action (EACHa) on its award of £190,704 by the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the award will be used to support its transformative project, "Strengthening Recovery: Expanding Capacity for Crisis & Support", by supporting the One Stop Shop, which is based in Kilmarnock, through the funding of a new crisis worker and a community development officer, covering the costs of IT equipment, phones, travel and employment overheads to enable the delivery of an accessible, stigma-free drop-in model; notes that the One Stop Shop seeks to operate as a trauma-informed, person-led hub, and estimates that the service supports over 750 people affected by addiction, mental health challenges, homelessness, poverty, and exclusion each year; acknowledges what it sees as the important role that EACHa plays in the wider recovery network in East Ayrshire; commends EACHa for its continued dedication to providing compassionate and consistent support to those on their recovery journey, and wishes it all the best in its future endeavours.
