Recognising the Contribution of Asda Coatbridge Through the Asda Foundation
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the contribution of Asda Coatbridge in supporting communities through the Asda Foundation; notes that the store awarded funding of £500 to Friends of Monkland Canal, which works to improve and maintain waterways for community use and environmental education; further notes that funding of £1,000 was given to Parent Action for Safe Play, which provides safe spaces and activities for children and £1,000 to Jackson Youth Group, which offers social activities, mentoring and community engagement for young people; understands that these grants will help these organisations continue their work and improve the lives of children, young people and families in Coatbridge, and welcomes the commitment of Asda Coatbridge to supporting local groups that make a positive difference in the community.
