Recognising the Contribution of Asda Cumbernauld Through the Asda Foundation
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the contribution of Asda Cumbernauld in supporting communities through the Asda Foundation; notes that the store awarded funding of £1,000 to the Holding Space, which provides safe and supportive environments for children and young people facing difficulties; further notes that funding of £1,000 was given to Tony’s Safe Place, which offers mentoring, guidance and activities to help young people build confidence; understands that the grants will allow these organisations to expand their programmes and reach more children and young people in Cumbernauld, and welcomes the work of Asda Cumbernauld in helping organisations create opportunities for young people to thrive.
