Bridge of Allan and Dunblane Given First and Second Places in Garrington House-hunting List 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Bridge of Allan and Dunblane on coming first and second respectively in a list by Garrington Property Finders of the 161 best places to reside in Scotland; understands that Bridge of Allan came out on top, thanks to high scores in natural beauty, wellbeing and value for money; believes that the towns were ranked in the comprehensive list to show the best places to live, which was designed for house hunters to identify locations that offer both quality of life and strong value; notes that, for quality of life, the factors taken into account were natural beauty, wellbeing, employment and connectivity; applauds Garrington for putting together what it sees as excellent guidance for prospective homeowners; concurs that being included in the table is to be applauded, and considers that, while this is not a league table of the "best" and "worst" places to live, it does include nearly all of the towns of any size in Scotland.
