Congratulating Fife Gingerbread on Shortlist of Family Approach Project in 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Fife Gingerbread on the Family Approach project being shortlisted in the removing barriers to employability category of the 2025 SURF (Scotland’s Regeneration Forum) Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; understands that the awards identify and celebrate best practice, innovation and achievement in interventions that improve Scotland's communities; notes that Fife Gingerbread's Family Approach project provides tailored, flexible, relationship-based and holistic support to vulnerable families in Fife’s communities; recognises the positive impacts of the 1:1 parenting guidance, emotional wellbeing and housing support, education assistance, money advice, advocacy and confidence building, alongside traditional employability skills; is very grateful to SURF for recognising what it sees as the valuable and vital work of Fife Gingerbread to support families in Fife, and extends its very best wishes to Fife Gingerbread for success at the 2025 SURF Awards presentation event on the evening of 4 December.
