The motion

That the Parliament congratulates LIFT D&G on its project, A Creative Approach to Revitalising Lochside, being shortlisted in the Creative Regeneration category of the 2025 Scotland’s Regeneration Forum (SURF) Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; notes that these awards, which it considers are prestigious, identify and celebrate best practice, innovation and achievement in interventions that improve communities; recognises that SURF is a charity boasting a membership of more than 300 organisations that are concerned with the regeneration of socially and economically challenged communities across the country; notes that the awards are independently judged by a panel of 20 regeneration experts; further notes that the panel announced its shortlist on 19 September 2025; acknowledges that these awards provide an opportunity for regeneration projects to demonstrate value to funders, partners and the general public, support team-building and develop a national profile, notes that the winners will be announced at a presentation event at the beginning of December, and wishes LIFT D&G every success in the coming weeks and months ahead.
