STV Ending North News Bulletin
The motion
That the Parliament condemns the decision by STV to shut down its STV North news bulletins; regrets what it sees as the increasing centralisation of news services in Glasgow and the central belt; believes that this move will silence rural voices and mean that community issues in the north and north east of Scotland will receive less media attention; notes reports that this decision will result in approximately 60 people losing their jobs, and urges STV to urgently reconsider this action.
