Recognition of the Scottish Men’s Shed Association in the 2025 SURF Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Men’s Shed Association on being shortlisted in the Community Led Regeneration category of the 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; notes that the association is the national charity supporting Scotland’s network of community-led Men’s Sheds, which transform underutilised buildings into hubs where men can share skills, build friendships and contribute locally; recognises the vital role of local groups in delivering these benefits to Aberdeenshire communities and beyond, and wishes all involved continued success in promoting regeneration across Scotland.
