The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Peel Ports Clydeport, based in Govan, Glasgow, on winning the Glasgow Business Award for Sustainable Development; recognises the company’s substantial investment in Glasgow’s maritime and renewable energy infrastructure, including upgrades at King George V Dock to handle wind turbine components and to support the city’s role in the offshore wind sector; believes that these initiatives reflect Peel Ports Clydeport’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2040 and advancing sustainable development in Glasgow, and acknowledges what it sees as the company’s vital contribution to the local economy, the city’s energy transition, and Glasgow’s reputation as a centre for innovative and sustainable maritime operations.
