W Reid Butchers Secure Gold at Traditional Steak Pie Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Hopeman-based business, W Reid Butchers, on winning a gold award at the Scottish Craft Butchers Traditional Steak Pie Awards 2025; understands that pies are judged by a panel of experts and given a score out of 60, with any pie reaching a score of 50 or more receiving Gold; recognises that W Reid Butchers made slight tweaks to its famous recipe, by making the gravy slightly thicker, which, it believes, helped move their pie from Silver to Gold; congratulates employees, Alison Gault-More and Jess Smith, who were credited by manager Craig Cormack, as being responsible for the production of the pies and pivotal in achieving the Gold award, and wishes W Reid Butchers more success in the future.
