Perthshire Shopkeeper Named High Street Hero After 53 Years in Business

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Margaret Ferguson, 85, of Alyth, Perthshire, on winning the Mid Scotland and Fife category of the Scotland Loves Local Awards; notes that Margaret was named a High Street Hero and that she has owned and run her store, MM Ferguson, in Alyth, for more than five decades; further notes that the award judges praised her "quality produce" and that the awards, which are now in their fifth year, encourage people to create a better future for their community by choosing local, and wishes Margaret all the best for the future.
