Glasgow Women’s Football Team Honoured
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Fortune Flyers FC Women’s Team on being named Sporting Champion at the 2025 Glasgow Community Champion Awards; notes that the team provides footballing opportunities for women with disabilities, promoting inclusion, physical activity and empowerment; recognises the importance of the provision of accessible sport for all, especially in offering chances for participation, teamwork and confidence to under-represented groups, and acknowledges how community sport initiatives such as this one contribute positively to health, social inclusion and community cohesion in Glasgow.
