Enva’s Contribution to Scotland’s Waste Management
The motion
That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the significant contribution made by Enva to Scotland’s waste management and resource recovery sector; notes that Enva’s Perth site is Scotland’s largest Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permitted Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling facility; acknowledges that the site represents a major investment in advanced recycling infrastructure, enabling Scotland to safely process its own WEEE domestically, retain the economic value of recovered materials and support both the local Perthshire and wider Scottish economy, and calls on the Scottish Government to prioritise WEEE within circularity strategies to maximise domestic recycling capacity, support high-skilled green jobs and ensure it is managed safely, sustainably and in a way that delivers economic benefit to communities across Scotland.
